Uche-Okoro Ijeoma Juliet is a seasoned legal practitioner and governance professional with over three decades of service in the Federal Ministry of Justice and several other key Federal Ministries, where she rose to the level of Director of Legal Services. She is recognized for her expertise in corporate governance, compliance, policy advisory, and legislative drafting, as well as her ability to lead high-stakes negotiations and provide strategic legal advice at the highest levels of government. She has also demonstrated a clear ability to align governance structures with institutional objectives and national priorities.
Ijeoma is the Principal Partner at Prime Legit Nexus (Solicitors), where she continues to provide high-level legal advisory services to boards, executives, and organizations in both the public and private sectors.She has served at various times as a member of the boards of the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja, the Nigeria Shippers’ Council, and the Nigerian Ports Authority, bringing her legal expertise and governance insight to bear on critical sectors of national development. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the African Women in Maritime Organization (WIMA), Nigeria, where she supports the advancement of women in global maritime leadership.
Ijeoma is a Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (FISEN), and a member of the Advisory Board of WIMA Nigeria.
